Hammer Head Hammer Mechanism Wrench

This is a Hammer Head wrench by Bottelsen Dart Company. Made in the U.S.A. 

To remove a Hammer Mechanism: Wrap a cloth around the barrel of the dart to protect the barrel's surface. Grip the protected barrel with pliers, slide the dart wrench over the point and onto the "flats" of the collar. Turn counterclockwise to loosen. 

To install a Hammer Mechanism: Clean threads of barrel with a cotton swab soaked in alcohol or fingernail polish remover. Screw threaded portion into barrel. Tighten the mechanism into the barrel. Only use a dart wrench to tighten the Hammer Head Mechanism. 

Note: A small amount of fingernail polish may be applied to the threads before screwing into the barrel. This may help to prevent the mechanism from loosening.
